Hideo Akuno is one of the Idols available to produce at 315 Productions. He is a member of the Idol Unit, FRAME. He was a former Police Officer before being scouted to 315 Productions.

Profile

Hideo is a former policeman. With sharp eyes and jagged teeth, he has the face of a criminal, often getting him mistaken for one. However, there's no youth more overflowing with kindness and a sense of justice than he. Though he loves kids, he laments the fact that they find him scary. Hideo was the last member to join FRAME, but he still thinks of Ryu and Shingen as precious brothers-in-arms¹.

Character Commu I was so excited yesterday that Shingen and Ryu laughed at me... I can't help but be excited since you're celebrating my birthday, Producer... These kinds of things make me really happy. Character Commu Whoa, look at how thick these pancakes are...! This is too much of a surprise... Of course I'm gonna be jumping with joy with a birthday present like this! Super successful surprise! Seiji-san and I did our best to make these. We had some trouble, but we managed to make it just in time! We wanted to prepare a gift that would make you happy. If it is, we're both delighted! Happy birthday!

Character Commu I was excited to see what you got me this year, but this is way more than I had imagined! How many stacks of pancakes are there…!? It’s a special FRAME pancake tower! The top half maaay have fell over but.. the bottom half is A-OK! Great taste guaranteed! This was my first time baking this many pancakes, I had fun! This is a present from us, so eat as much as your heart desires!

Etymology

• The name Hideo means "excellent, fine" (英) (hide) and "hero, manly" (雄) (o).
• Hideo's surname Akuno means "grip, hold, mould sushi, bribe" (握) (aku) and "field, wilderness" (野) (no).

Trivia

• Part of 'Sweets Club' of 315 Production, along with Haruna Wakazato, Touma Amagase, Makio Uzuki, Suzaku Akai, and Soichiro Shinonome.
• Hideo has a large family at home, consisting of his grandparents, parents, younger sister, older sister, younger brother, and two dogs. They all share his type of face. He also has a great-grandfather that is still living.
• Hideo still keeps a map of his city on him just in case anybody needs help with directions. It's an old habit he has as a former policeman.
