Etymology

• The name Hokuto means "north" (北) (hoku) and "Dipper" (斗) (to).
• Hokuto's surname Ijuin means "that one" (伊) (i), "collection" (集) (shu/ju) and "hospital" (院) (in).

Trivia

• All Hokuto's family members are professional musicians, which is one reason why he originally aspired to be a pianist. Although he no longer seeks to play piano professionally, Hokuto can still play the piano for events.
• According to Shouta and Touma, Hokuto can’t eat kiwis. This is shown in his SHAVED ICE LIVE☆ magazine.
• Hokuto has a younger sister who appears in his introductory magazine and Remembrance Shot.
