Etymology

• The name Kanon is written in hiragana (かのん), which has no special meaning. However, when written in kanji (花音), it could possibly mean "flower, blossom" (花) (ka) and "sound" (音) (non).
• Kanon's surname Himeno means "princess, young lady of noble birth" (姫) (hime) and "field, wilderness" (野) (no).

Trivia

• Kanon has a little sister who looks very similar to him. Kanon says that she’s very cute and follows him around. She thinks that the Producer is a wonderful person as well, but she is often made jealous because Kanon talks about them so frequently.
• Kanon is the youngest and shortest member of 315 Production.
• Kanon is the only idol who refers to himself in third-person (says かのん instead of any other pronoun).
• Kanon’s weakness is dance and physical coordination. The Phantom Thieves event and his Tagawa soccer magazine showcase this.
• Kanon's favorite member of Jupiter is Touma.
• Kanon's highest stat is visual, at level 9. This makes him one of only two level-9 visual characters, the other one being Kazuki.
