Shinobu Kazama is one of the 9 New Idol Discovery Audition candidates. He is based on the historical figure Fuma Kotaro, a name adopted by the leader of the ninja Fūma clan during the Sengoku era of feudal Japan. According to some records, his name was originally Kazama (風間).

Etymology[edit | hide]
- The name Shinobu means "endurance, patience" (忍).
- Shinobu's surname Kazama means "wind, breeze, way, manner, blaster, gale, gust, sirocco, method" (風) (kaza) and "while, time, interval, space, pause, chamber, room, apartment, leisure, chance, entr'acte, intervening, as" (間) (ma).
