Sora Kitamura is one of the Idols available to produce at 315 Productions. He was a former general store clerk before forming the Idol Unit, Legenders with Amehiko Kuzunoha and Chris Koron.

Sora is a former curio shop clerk. Tired of living by reading between the lines, he became an idol to make a living while being himself. The atmosphere around him is pleasant, but his piercing gaze can see through people's true selves. Sora has a diligent side and completes his pre-work preparations with care. Still, he's talented at word games and regularly expresses (hides) his thoughts in haiku¹.

Ever since he was small, my brother has been an extremely unrestrained* person~.
Because he was the way he was, I was able to speak to him about anything I couldn’t speak to my parents about,
and I had a lot of respect for his free way of living~.
So when it came time for me to go to university, I moved out from my strict** family home and moved in with my brother~.
...But he very rarely came home from work,
and when it came to his hobby of drawing, he completely lost all time to draw~.
...Even putting that aside, I was watching him work himself to death,
and I thought about that a lot~. Especially right before I became an idol…
Back then… I wondered if I would be able to graduate from university and join society the same way my brother did,
to go down such a mundane and well-trodden path.
Every time I thought about such a future, I… got sick of it~.

  • The name Sora means "imagination" (想楽).
  • Sora's surname Kitamura means "north" (北) (kita) and "town, village" (村) (mura).

Trivia[edit | hide | edit source]

  • Sora is based on Matsuo Basho, the most famous poet of the Edo period in Japan.
  • Despite being based on Matsuo Basho, who was famous for his haiku, Sora's poetry is Senryu. While Senryu have the same 5/7/5 structure as haiku, they don't require a kireji (cutting word) or kigo (seasonal indicator), which are both requirements for haiku. Senryu tend to be cynical and about human affairs, whilst haiku are generally more serious and are about nature.
  • Sora attends Rikkyo University (立教大学), as seen in the background of his Write for someone SR.
  • Sora is an animal lover, but has no preference between cats and dogs.
  • Sora is skilled at photography and drawing.
  • Despite being average height, Sora looks small next to Amehiko and Chris. Fans who see them in person are surprised at how tall Sora is, much to his annoyance.
  • Sora hates senbei rice crackers, but once taste-tested various brands to gift some to the Producer for White Day.
